Lightweight design primarily relies on the application of new materials and structural optimization—for example, while maintaining the rated load and safety factor, key components are made from high-strength alloy steels, and computer-aided engineering analysis is used to perform topology optimization on the body structure, achieving significant weight reduction. This makes the equipment easier to carry and operate in work sites with limited power or no power supply—such as field construction projects and high-altitude outdoor maintenance operations. At the same time, there is a growing number of specialized, customized products tailored to meet the needs of various vertical, horizontal, or inclined traction scenarios, as well as those specific to industries like chemical processing, power generation, and shipbuilding. Manufacturers can now offer customized solutions that are suitable for explosion-proof environments, corrosion-resistant applications, temperature resistance across a wide range, or that feature specific lifting capacities and handle forces. This shift from general-purpose products toward highly specialized segments reflects the industry’s evolution—from simply supplying standard products to providing users with value-added solutions designed for specific operational conditions.
